INFORMATION REGARDING SPECIAL OREGON SUBSTITUTE TEACHING LICENSE:

If you possess a Bachelor's Degree (or higher) you may be eligible to receive a special substitute license from Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC).

To begin the process necessary to substitute for KCSD you must submit a completed Licensed Teacher Application to the Personnel Office at the address listed below. There will be some areas on the Licensed Teacher Application that do not pertain to you (such as endorsement area/teaching experience). Please adapt the application to fit the special substitute application process.

If you qualify for an interview, you will be notified by telephone or mail and an interview with the Personnel Director will be arranged.

Successful interviewees will need to request a Special Substitute License Packet from TSPC (503-378-3586). Some of the materials TSPC will request are fingerprinting/criminal history verification, certified college transcripts, a letter from KCSD and fees.
